Its a private health-care system. Whoever pays for it first/most gets the vaccine. I think this reflects the bigger problem of how on some levels as a society we do understand that health care is something that should be managed as a basic right for all people, hence the outrage, but we don't want to fully act on it cos we just love our system so much.

The people who make the vaccine should be good comrades and do their work for free, for the benefit of the collective, and a committee will decide how to address any shortages. Communism is the answer, that way the elite can not be at the top of the pyramid because there is no pyramid. It works well for Cuba, and North Korea, so it should work well here too.
I want free stuff, give it to me, I'll give you my vote in return.

Red herring, Richard. Nobody's saying that these hospitals would be handing out the vaccine for free, necessarily. The key point, to my mind, is that a hospital is still waiting, but we just HAD to get Goldman taken care of!How long until Goldman is granted its two senators? Our politicians seem to think Goldman Sachs is the 51st State.

If Goldman paid more than the hospital, the hospital's just gonna have to wait.Also AC, have we fallen into the pits of Soviet, Cuban etc communism just because we have publicly managed roads? There's no reason to get hysterical over health care.

Do you have any idea how bad the roads are? I hit a pothole just YESTERDAY! Yes, roads should be privatized!Thus you have proved my point. The roads are terrible here.
