Bill Clinton is quite a man of the people. I have to say I am impressed that he would make a stop here in our little hole to have some rice and gravy with us, on behalf of his wife's campaign. To be honest, I think its pretty cool that he found out where to get the best home cookin in Lafayette and make his appearance there.

Clinton's stop in Lafayette, LA is not the first time a hefty political figure has come here. Dick Cheney has been here a couple of times as well as various other useless republicans, promoting whatever local GOP candidate that was running. These appearances were held in private homes with local la-ti-da unimportant nouveau-oil-riche. This usually involves some secrecy and usually a disgusting hunting trip. Ew. I would have had more respect had they sat down with normal everyday people and listened to what they have to say.

On another note, during his campaigning in Louisiana, Obama has told people that he would build some sci-fi super levee. Yeah right. Who is going to pay for that? If the state had any money, we would have done that already and I don't see the Feds paying for it either. I will believe that when I see it. If people buy that, I have some magic beans I would like to sell them.

I find it very curious that Bill is sitting down with black folks while Obama spoke at a snooty mostly white university.
