The 16 year old little sister of Britney says she's pregnant! I've already got more respect for the little Spears since she says she'll raise the baby in Louisiana and not L.A. so it can have a normal life.

I've actually been meaning to post about Britney for quite a while. The downfall of Britney that is. Doesn't seem like that long ago when Britney was the darling of Foo. Not so anymore. I find her downright disgusting. Not because of her looks but because of the person she has become.

It says a lot about the mother when the American court system awards child custody to the father. That just doesn't happen very often. The fact that the father is K-Fed and he still got custody means Britney must be absolutely whack.

It seems to me that what's really happening here is that Hollywood finally figured out, with all this TMZ/E/OKMag crap to make money off these people on the way down just as much as on the way up. Either way, it is indeed disgusting.

The news has been full of teen pregnancy stats lately as a result of this. 2 things of note are, american teenagers have about the same amount of sexual activity as other western countries but we have twice the teen pregnancy. Also teen pregnancy rate has been going down gradually for the last 14 years until last year, now its gone back up. From this it stands to reason we have moronic attitudes about contraception specifically, and pressing abstience education as has been done the last couple years is catching up with us and leading to the inevitable consequence of more pregnant teenagers.

I think that if the pregnancy rate is up, that brings something else with it. It will also increase the amount of STD's and new HIV infection rates as well. I think that kids now don't have any fear of it. I remember in high school and just after that, condoms and safe sex were hot topics. We were just terrified to have unprotected sex. But after I while I think that the message become part of the white noise and now kids don't get it.
