One would think this "copyright" would only apply to original works that the tattoo artist alone created. Further, as the canvas for said art is sentient they should also own a portion or at the very least be allowed royalties.Unless there is a specific contract signed by both parties stating the art is retained by the artist, they should go sit on their needles.

Remember when some dude took Rodman's tattoo's and put them on a t-shirt? Different matter entirely, but Rodman won the case and the guy stopped selling the shirts.Of course, where is Rodman today?
