With people living longer than ever before, and she does look a lot younger than 60, I think that she will be able to take care of them until they are ready to be on their own. However, this story also makes me wonder why she didn't concieve the old fashioned way - did she forget? I can understand people who are just naturally infertile who want IVF to have kids, but later in life if you can't concieve naturally then your body is telling you something.

I don't know, lots of kids get raised in nontraditional circumstances, due to, well, circumstances and its fine. Like if both parents are indisposed and they have to be raised by grandparents. If thats fine then this is fine. It can't be fine for one reason and not fine for another if the situation is capable of working out ok.

Speaking from experience I can tell you raising kids is a young persons game. I can't imagine being 60 chasing a 2 and 4 year old around. Both pairs of my kids grandparents get plumb tuckered out after about 3 hours.

I think chasing the kids around would actually keep you youthful.Then after they hit 17, you'd age at 20 times the normal rate like Blibo Baggins after he gives up the ring.

There are just simply so many unfit people of more suitable ages raising kids, and the problems are greater, if some older people are psychologically, emotionally or whatever otherwise wonderful parents I think its ok.

dust broke.... lol.Squee you are right but I think a 60 year old wanting to have a fourth kid seems psychologically/emotionally strange, but I don't know the lady so she could be perfectly normal.

Well the woman is a psychologist herself - maybe shes just pushing the socially acceptable boundaries because of her enlightened psyche.
