Not that there's anything wrong with that. In fact according to Gov. Charlie Crist himself, he is not gay. He's just a single (briefly married in 1979), articulate, well groomed, tanned, 50 year old man. So don't let the headline of this post deceive you. Charlie Crist is not really gay, according to him.
Last November, during election time, when asked who I was voting for I said Davis. I quickly followed that up with, "but I feel like a winner either way since Jeb will be gone". What an asshole that Jeb is.
I have no problem having a gay governor. If he came out of the closet at a press conference today with his boyfriend by his side I wouldn't care.
So far I think he's doing a great job. He's already got the insurance companies on their bellies biting pillows while he hammers home the message that Floridians will not be gouged anymore. Give it to 'em Charlie, and skip the lube!
This post might seem awful late since he was elected 2 months ago but I wanted to wait until he did something noteworthy as Governor. Which he did during the special legislative session last week when he pushed through bill HB 1A - Hurricane Preparedness and Insurance [
link] and signed into law yesterday.
I am with you Ricky, if this guy is doing a good job, gay or not gay, who cares.
I am so ready for people to start concentrating on job performance and to stop worrying about what people do with their genitals in the privacy of their own home. As long as they aren't doing things with little kids I don't give a crap what they do. Smear peanut butter all over yourself, and hang from the ceiling if you want. Just give me something for my tax money, do the damn job you are paid to do, and stop bullshitting me.
