Who really listens to the orders of Christian fundamentalists other than more Christian fundamentalists?Anyway though, its unfortunate that he did try to incite violence, abusing his freedom of speech, but unlike the UK or other European countries, I don't think you can deport Pat Robertson anwhere.

Robertson must've really affected the 12 viewers of his program...He's got a right to say what he wants, no matter how stupid. Generally, US policy makers agree that it would be nice if Chavez would politely go away, but ultimately Robertson is an idiot. Nobody (well, maybe Robertson) wants to kill the man - just remove him from office and put someone more friendly to US interests in his place.
I love his reasoning about it later, though - (paraphrased) "taking him out doesn't necessarily mean killing him, we could just kidnap him or something!". Yeah. That would only work in John Woo movies.
I'm just thankful the nut wasn't elected back in '88.

Don't forget that the Venezulan's are too stupid to realize that if we wanted their wonderful president dead, he'd of been dead a long time ago. Now when one of their own people kills him, we will get the blame for it. That's the real problem we face. And if it's not one of his own people, it will likely be a Columbian.
Chavez has borrowed a page from the Iranians by directing all anger away from his government and towards America. America is the cause of ALL their problems, yeah, right.
Bush simply ignores Chavez, which is the right thing to do. Now Robertson has only fanned the flames and drawn attention towards us.

Some of you pussies act as if Pat had videotaped an innocent white guy having his head cut off with a long dull knife. I guess you liberal minded Americans were right all along, America is wrong and bad and should just roll over to the rest of the world. When the foreign troops take over our country maybe you can convince them to be humane in the treatment they show us, although no one deserves any mercy, do they. The children who post here need to go study world history and then brush up on the U.S. Constitution including the Bill of Rights. And it means exactly what it says, period. Dumbass.

The problem with Robertson saying what he did was that, as a supposed man of God, it's completely hypocritical. Nobody is arguing that he doesn't have the RIGHT to say it. He most certainly does have that right. The problem is that he's supposedly a representative of the Christian faith, which teaches THOU SHALT NOT MURDER (or THOU SHALT NOT KILL, depending on which flavor you worship) and yet here he is praying for God to kill Supreme Court Justices and calling for the ASSASSINATION of the legally-elected ruler of a foreign nation.His freedom of speech is not in question. It's his credentials as a man of God that are under the microscope, here.

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet your neighbour's house; you shall not covet your neighbour's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbour's.
I think all these commandments have something to do with the flavor of his whole tirade.

murder is not the same as killing. god gave the power of life and death to the government(that's why when ever we go to war it's some big sinfest where God thinks 'ah man they fucked it up this time'). murder is killing+hate. when a man beats another man to death out of rage, THAT'S murder. when a sniper shoots a terrorist running at a group of american soldiers that's killing and he has been given the responsibility to make sure it does not cross over into murder. and in NO translation(at least that i can think of at the moment) does it say thou shalt not kill. it always says murder. God told the israelites to kill everyone(including women and children) in Cannan(sp?).

"god gave the power of life and death to the government" So abortion is ok then, since the government has decided that it is? I'm glad you admit that.Your distinction between killing and murder applies only to Jews, Robertson is a Christian.
