I've lived this nightmare once when things were tight for my parents and I wouldn't lend them the money I'd collected from my paper route. It was my duty to make sure that the money went to my employer. If it hadn't and I couldn't pay back the money I would have lost my job and been responsible for the debt. So I said "NO!".... in the end, it was just my Dad in a panic for Alcohol (he's an Alcoholic, now in recovery) because Mom had hidden the money.
