It is logical. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

Such is the logic behind eminent domain itself. That I object to but see the need for. This revamped version is little more than forced eviction that says, "The needs of the wealthy outweigh the needs of the few lower-class losers inhabiting the land that could be holding a Sears."

when they can use the patriot act to break in when you're not home and leave a little marijuana in your house. come back claiming an anonymous tip. use the war on drugs laws and take out the seeds and gather your gardening supplies from your shed, sandwich baggies from your kitchen and mail scales from your desk. call it "posession with intent to manufacture and distribute" and take it all for free with the burden of proof on your shoulders. just imagine, george bush and congress is spreading this freedom throughout the world. yippee.

Who the fuck owns a mail scale for anything but weed?

Probably the same guy who uses his bong to smoke tobacco.

My parents own a mail scale. Why? Because they mail cookbooks to people. No weed.

This way we can take Compton, and declare that it will be more beneficial to the state if it were demolished, and a large park was put in its place. That way we would go from negative revenue (they cost us money) to zero revenue.

    Compton, prepare to be nuked!

are used for mail and a variety of other things. i have one that is used in mechanical applications in my garage. it has the instructions in it for weighing carburetor floats. i have a mailscale i use to weigh of all things...mail. like for ebay. i also garden and put my lunch sandwiches and leftovers in baggies. i have pseudoephedrine in my bathroom cabinet which, is used today to make crystal meth....and i own a cookstove. these are common everyday items that are used to make drugs. i keep a pack of "rolling papers" in my bathroom cabinet for emergency herb intake in the case i run out of pills and have to smoke my homegrown and wild herbs for medicinal use. those papers, the instant i walked out of the store with them became "drug paraphenalia". i have hemostats in my tacklebox for removing hooks from fish and various crafts around the home. the police can make you guilty.

cop mentality. if you can't come up in your own mind with a use in your own life then, it can't possibly have a legitimate use in someone elses's life.

Yet another example of how much American Democracy looks and sounds like every other country's aristocracy.

A step toward National Commericalization and Corporate Empires controlling the state of events...

If that's possible couldn't private company's create their own towns and if so, their own government. Echoes of the coal towns all the way into the 21st century is a scary though.

this grows wild in my state. it is excellent for those sleep apnea nights....and yes, mix in some mint for flavor. don't knock it if it isn't your way. take your manmade, gov't owned medicine with all it's stomach lining eating, birth defecting, side effects. you must be from the city and depend on the gov't to keep you alive. you may be surprised to know that i grow my own food too. life is good when you depend on yourself for sustenance.

Passion flower, does it only grow in your state? If you take it to a mysterious cult leader will he let you be in the league of shadows?

I'm not knocking it, I usually get to sleep by watching Blade 2 or the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Legally, towns are their own private companies, in a way. That's what happens when a town incorporates.

If / when the ramifications of this decision end up with abuse, another court case will make it up to the supreme court, and it will get refined, yet again. This is no big deal.

If you think the future is like that of the movie RoboCop, you need to take a college level economics class, and a political science class.

According to this [link] , there is a new hotel being planned that will be built on Supreme Court Justice Souter's land. If approved, his land will be taken and his home demolished. Justice Souter was part of the majority ruling in this decision.
