Snow falls for the first time ever in the UAE

In what could be evidence of dramatic changes in weather, the UAE experienced its first snowfall in the moutains of Ras Al Khamiah. Temperatures on the ground this winter are at an unusual 5 - 20 degrees Celsius while temperatures in the moutains have been recorded at -5 degrees Celsius. Temperatures in the summer can exceed 50 degrees Celsius. [link]
