Jerry Goldsmith dead at 75

Composer Jerry Goldsmith, whose music you might recognize from Star Trek, Total Recall and many other movies, has passed away at the age of 75 [link] . I don't know about you people, but I know I've heard more Jerry Goldsmith scores than I could possibly remember, and I'll miss his music.

Yeah, everyone has to die someday. But it really sucks when someone like Goldsmith passes on. He wasn't a hero of mine or anything like that. But his music was part of the culture I grew up in and identify with. His music was cool, and it has long been a part of my world. Who will replace him? Answer: no one. I am sorry to see him go.
