I think this is super cool. It kind of ruins that NASA mystique, but doesn't NASA seem really slow? I mean damn, we were (supposedly) on the moon a long time ago. I want to see some more moon walking damnit. Maybe with monkey boy holding the reigns things will move a little faster.

Since the USSR is gone, there's no use for MoonWalking, we've been there and seen that; we've got no one to compete against.

But there may be soon... [link] Seems Nasa, fresh with egg on their face that a private company has most likely build a fully reusable space craft for 20 million which they couldn't for 100 billion, is said to be mulling prizes for orbiting the earth and landing on the moon for privately funded craft. I see two sides to this. One, its great for space technology, it will allow real innovations to start taking place again. And two, doesn't Nasa get access to pretty much any kind of space tech made in the US? Pretty sure they have the key to the patent office and can take whatever private tech necessary to improve the US space fleet. Kinda like stealing...

That's what the US GOV did to Bantam, and had Ford and Willy's motors build them.
