but not unheard of and i wouldn't say stupid ... there's been signs up on the Verrazzano Bridge since 9/11 that the use of cameras is prohibited ... And that's a beautiful piece of architecture ... However, it's definitely not the direction i would go if people are that concerned about terrorism in the subways... Start with metal detectors or sweep the trains for bombs, or weapons, before and after passengers board ..

From a short distance...there were no signs posted.

These bans are a complete violation of our rights. I can't believe they will ban postings of pictures taken previously also.

I agree, there are better ways to increase security, this one will not help.

I wonder if I could sketch the areas in question... How about if I have a "photo"-graphic memory? Am I not allowed to travel with the MTA?

I say Thank You to all those involved with this law.

The one thing it will stem is those goddamn photography students who flock to the subway for "inspiration." I mean, come on! How many photos of a fucking guy playing trumpet can one art school take?

"It's a figurative look into not only the mechanical workings of the turnstile, but also a glimpse into Man's never ending attempt to personify his quantification of death." BULLSHIT.

Love, Juan
