C'mon fellas. I didn't really need the link to my site in there. No one but my family and friends look at my site anyway. Getting hits is not my agenda here. I'm not selling anything on my site. Getting this letter around to a bunch of sites IS. If kungfoo wants to take the link out to make you guys happy, I really don't mind. Just so long as this letter gets circulated. If kungfoo had a problem with the link, you think they would have tossed it. Glad to see HollowPoint gave me an opinion on the letter itself. NOT! Thanks for yours bapow1. The letter is also posted at ChronWatch.

    Hey,

I've checked out your web-site and I'm a little taken aback by how you refer to yourself as a 'moderate'. Looking at the site it appears that your crusade against Moore would place you on the exact opposite side of the spectrum as him, making you only as 'extreme' as you percieve him to be.

Secondly, I do not agree with everything that Moore says, but I do like his approach to topics, it's nice to laugh at the political system every once in a while. I do want to say this though, I don't think that anyone should be complaining about Moore and talking about how he's so extreme and how the release of this movie will be unfair considering the upcoming election. Get off your ass and do something about it, counter the guy. If you disagree with him and have a viable argument against him go make a funny movie. Prove it. This guy is only exercising his right to free speech in a manner that appeals to a fair sized audience. If you honestly believe that your arguements are as valid as his then make a movie and get the word out.

Last but not least, go see the movie before you dismiss it at 'leftist' garbage. Even if he is extreme in your opinion he still manages to bring up some good points.

And now I would like to encourage everyone to check out something RickySilk put up on the web-site a while ago. The First Six Months of George W. Bush: Whatever your beliefs, know what your president is doing. Here is a list of his work in his first six months: [link]

Think of what is yet to be placed on that list.

I would consider seeing his film if it would in no way give him any money - thereby encouraging him to make another.

I am curious to see what he has to say - call it my caving to hype, but I just can't stand the idea of giving that guy any money.

Maybe I'll find a way to sneak into the theater.

One minor rant on this, does anyone really believe that Disney's refusal to distribute this is a shock? I mean they said from the beginning they wouldn't. All the current hype amounts to is Moore reaching deep for ANY kind of exposure for this film. There's no such thing as bad PR.

If you checked out my website where did you find reference to a "crusade against Michael Moore?" Holy cow!! I hardly even mention him at all and when I did it was not slanderous or presented in a mud-slinging way. I think I quoted his "gun death" numbers twice in my Gun Control section. Besides that there is no crusade at all. Are you sure you got the correct link? Maybe it gave you the wrong site. Mine has the above letter in the center.
I also can't find the section where I said "Bowling" was "leftist" garbage. Are you sure you were on my site dude?
FYI: about Moore's "Bowling"; Dan Lyons of Forbes magazine was the 1st place I heard of that found errors (mistakes, lies, whatever) in the movie. Then the blog that Al Franken says twice in his "Lies" is a great site (and where he got alot of his Coulter stuff from), SpinSanity, has a bunch of writers continuing to list error after error that was in the movie (and his books btw).
If all these accusations are fictional then you would think Moore would retort. After all, truth is an absolute; it cannot be argued. But he only calls notice to a "right wing gun-nut" who is unmentioned but we know is lawyer David Hardy. You think he would mention BowlingForTruth author Richard Bushnell. I haven't looked at that site except a peruse, but it looks like it has alot of stuff to question by Moore himself.
Hence my letter. If Moore's candidate Clark won't even back Moore up but calls Moore's accusations against the President an "opinion", what are we to think? And since when do we prosecute deserters according to Webster's Dictionary? Hence the link to the correct law. No crusade there.
I agree that someone with some cash should do a documentary hashing out the facts or lack of them from "Bowling". If it's a load of bunk then his Award needs to be taken away. I understand a Documentary has to be factual to get that Award Moore got.
The link you gave from Dr. David A. Sprintzen is funny. He is Progressive, Liberal, whatever. How can he be unbiased? The subtitle reads "Here is a list of his work in his first six months". It doesn't give any positive works. Pretty convenient. It should read "...negative work that Liberals point out..." Yet Dr. Sprintzen praised Pres. Bush when he elected Dr. John H. Marburger III to the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy. That was in 2001; what changed for Dr. Sprintzen? Yet he forgets that there are 500 people in Congress that can influence items as well. Why are they not mentioned? That sort of thing I mention on my site but I don't think you read that.
A good link to see the positive Bush admin's foreign policy works is here: [link]
I've seen these kinds of lists for every president in recent past. And I agree with HollowPoint that some of the statements are misleading. It's easy to compile such a list if you have access to such information. He gives no reason for anything which should make you think.
I just had time to look up one.
--Cut by 50% funding for research into renewable energy sources.
This is untrue. From the 2001-2002 budget, the Department of Energy lost 3% of it's budget from cuts. And according to [link] that's only 30.8% for renewable energy R&D. That's alot, but let's not pad it. I always think "well, how much did the last admin over-budget an item that in turn needs to be cut?" You could probably debunk alot more but I haven't the time. Later.

I had tried to make it totally clear that I don't agree with everything Moore says, but it's free speech. If you think you can debunk all of his arguments then make a movie, be my guest.

Okay, just because your site dosn't say that you are on a crusade against Moore it doesn't make it any less true. Just reading your above post it is plain to see that you are on a 'crusade' of some sorts against the guy.

To make it totally clear, I don't agree with everything that he says but what is stopping you from making a movie just like he did? Debunk his theories if you can, I'm not trying to stop you. I believe in Free Speech and that applies to the 'Right' just as much as it does to the 'Left'.

Remember the liberal fucks would have you believe the Moore lies are actually "satire" ;)

This diverts blame from them to others who don't deserve it.

If my site doesn't say I'm on a crusade but you do from reading my site only, then that makes you the same as the left or right who are mud slinging and making false accusations just because they don't like the message. Yes it does make it less true if it's NOT true. I am not on a crusade against the guy. You just can't face it that a Moderate would write a letter like that to Moore.
Like I said there is nothing really about him on my site currently. So what you're doing is lying and smearing. You're no better than lying pundits.
And my post just asks questions as to why Moore won't go after the guys that have sites that "lie" about his movie. Just calling them gun-nuts and dismissing them won't stop them. People email him all the time about why he won't do that. No one knows.

It's obvious you're just upset about the letter. Why don't you just come out and say it? I have the freedom of speech too. I don't have to make a movie to do it either. What I have to at least equal him to be considered good enough to you?? Dude, the letter is like the only thing on my site about him, and that's what I explain in the above post. In the above post I only ask why he won't reply to Forbes and SpinSanity. Is that a crusade?? I'm not saying he's wrong in anything in the movie. Where did you find me saying that?? No where am I smearing or accusing.
He's wrong about that "deserter' letter on his site though. I just wish he would take that post off when he sees it's not true.
I still can't find the section where I call "Bowling" leftist garbage. You need to show me where that is on my website.

The thing is, regarding that idea about making a movie... you need backers and some sort of money to start or get your film published through other means like a school poject etc. first. You would have a long way to go to get up on the big screen and be effective. Hardly enough time before his bullshit does damage.

I find that argument rather silly, "Well no one is stopping YOU from doing it."

Michael Moore often exhibits the typical tactics of many liberals; preying on the fears of the average (a.k.a. dumb) Americans. He rides the line; he plays both sides. A perfect example of this is his gun toting antics in "bowling for columbine." He is for guns but against them at the same time. However, you are expected to appreciate this supposed "duality" based on the fact that he is a self proclaimed "arteest." Wake up! Moore is not an artist, he is a capitalist. The best way to get both sides of a disputed topic to buy his videos is to agree with both sides at the same time and create as much controversy as possible. His "I'm showing both sides which, by default, makes me a legitimate reporter" tactic is just a sad attempt to appear neutral and sell more copies. If you are anything more than an idiot, you can easily recognize that he has a very specific political agenda which is second only to his "mo' money" agenda.

I'm not suggesting that any of you believe or not believe in anything he produces. I guess that I'm just suggesting that you should get your facts from multiple sources. It requires very little research to disprove just about everything that Michael Moore has ever stated as fact...

Think for yourselves you f-ing idiots.
