This group reminds me of another one of my favorites: Spinal Tap.

Ihope you like it as much as I did... I myslef play guitar and a couple of other things so I like alot of different music. It was pretty refreshing hearing something with just a little twist aside from the norm. I particuarly like his voice... kind of funny listening to someone that for once isn't trying to sound ultra bad ass.

I thought that he was with a woman when singing that song "Thing called love" - at least thats what I think its called - yeah his voice has a LOT of pitch dynamism!

Well then don't buy it and one more little thing, if you feel so strongly about it, why didn't you write an article on it and warn your frienda against wasting their money... not talking shit... just curious. They're obviously not for you. Cool. Move on.

Darkness rule, they come at a time when manufactured bands are too prominent within the music business. Refreshing, and there is not one song on the album i can't like! This is album is soundtrack that we had when we were surfing in Newquay last summer and brings back some excellant memories of standing up and singing to radio in Cafe whilst having breakfast to try pull waitress!!

The Darkness may have saved rock and roll. Too many bands these days don't have the right sound or look, but these guys pull it off with style.

Oh yeah! Great band that definitivelly doesn't sound like so many band of today. Booring and digitally sterile. Yeap these guys and their music has a charcter.
They'r music is a mix of dstyles from 60's now now strong lean toward the 80's yet not as clean and polished. That's what nice about the album, it is somewhat raw and that's the magic.
As for the production - well, when I've put the CD on I though "what the f&%" but after half a song the production really did grow on me.
Basically it sound like you listening to it on a copy of a real to real tape. It's got that 70's souund feel to it. Nice change from today digital super cleaned crap sound.
Hope more band will turn up like this one - raw and natural sounding.

I like A Perfect Circle, Tool, Union Underground, Deftones, Static-X, Marilyn Manson and many others...but that is what is in the CD player now

As far as older stuff I like...
Iron Maiden, Queenscryche, Testament, Slayer, Judas Priest, Megadeth, older Pantera, Dokken, Fear of God, and many that i can't think of right now.

They are one of those shitty bands that are way overly manufactured.

They get all this attention for a brief period of time because they go for this welcome back to the 80's image. Their first single was all big and after that I never heard much more of them.

There's been a lot of bands like this in recent years. They only stay on TV for a matter of months then people get bored with the band or some new trendy band comes along and replaces them. There was Sum 41biting Blink 182, the Vines singer trying to be Curt Cobain, then these guys trying to be fucking neo-Aerosmith or something. It's re-god-damn-diculous

They are just trying to follow an image and sound that they copied from older bands. That can lead to nothing more than an easily failed music career.

That's "one" thing that's wrong with music today darknessfalls. There are many other things wrong with it as well though.

The latest band I've seen with a pretty big fan-base that I like is Shadows Fall. Other than that nothing has really grabbed my attention since System of a Down.
