Burn, you know damn well the Dems would have done the same exact thing given the chance- if not worse. There will be little or no backlash to the Republicans on this- a month from now it will be forgotten as another episode of partisan politics.

Sure, both parties would have done it, but at least the Dems don't have a HISTORY of having done it before. We didn't lose a president from our party cuz of it...we only had one impeached cuz of a little cum :D

Regardless, its still morally wrong. The lesson to be learned is that SOMEONE will go to jail/lose their job over this, which is hopefully a deterent to both parties to at least be more careful with their espionage :P

Nixon didn't resign because of Watergate itself any more than Clinton got impeached for getting a hummer. They both got into trouble for the same reason- they lied about their misdeeds.

Depending on how careful they were (not leaving stolen documents on hard drives, etc) there's a good chance that they'll never catch the person(s) responsible.

There are some interesting things mentioned, such as delaying judicial nominees to manipulate court hearings and opposing Miguel Estrada because, among other reasons, he is "Latino".

I have to admit, politics is bad business, but I'm not even sure how Democrats could spin whats included in these memos.
