Afraid of the embarressment it would cause to stop in mid-song, Ethel did her best to play the dustpan instead of her usual instrument - the moonshine jug

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Greatest Hits and Videos

Latest compilation of the chili peppers is really worth it.
It comes with dvd and everything, really nice!
The compilation comes in two versions, with or without the dvd
I got the one with the dvd
The album has only 2 new songs "Fortune faded" and "Save the population".
The rest of the cd has great songs, for a fan of the band this is a jewel...i got all albums but now i got all the videos also and i don't need to get them from the web with crappy quality.
I know most will say its not worth buying because the songs are already in other albums, but if you're a big fan you will love it.
Even if you don't want to get all the albums i suggest you getting this one because it got really the best songs of the band like "give it away", "under the bridge", "higher ground", "soul to squeeze" and so on.
The dvd is really nice, the navigation of it can be a bit confusing at times but it got nice things like all the good videos and you can have the commentary audio of each video and other stuff.
There is another greatest hits called "what hits!?'' it came out on EMI and it got all the best of from the early ages of the chili peppers, and there is also same on dvd/vhs.
So this would be the second greatest hits of the band, it got all of the Warner era except few songs that were recorded in EMI records.
It called to me the attention that there are no pictures of dave navarro in the booklets....seems like only frusciante was in the band when you see it but the truth is that they had several guitar players during all these years.
Also it was very different the version i saw of the video of "My friends", it has a completely different version than the one i saw (I saw the one with the guys in the boat shot by Anton Corbjin if I'm not mistaken).
Anyways to this album how many stars should i give it? hmmm I'm a big fan of the peppers but the last album is not the best so maybe a 4 stars and half.
