The Literary Review's Bad Sex In Fiction is awarded by Britain's Literary Review for the most inept description of doing the nasty in a novel. This years award was given to Indian writer Aniruddha Bahal for his novel Bunker 13. [link]
The judges applauded the "exuberance and energy" of Bahal's fictional sexual encounters which included a woman who drops her trousers to reveal a swastika shaven into an intimate area and phrases like "She picks up a Bugatti's momentum. You want her more at a Volkswagen's steady trot. Squeeze the maximum mileage out of your gallon of gas. But she's eating up the road with all cylinders blazing."
