Mr. Moore was reportedly very excited until he was informed that Knighthood did NOT grant him the ability to pillage local villages and terrorize the peasants.

Mr. Moore was quoted as saying "...what's the bloody point then? I wanted to challenge that old fart Connery to a jousting duel, but it turns out that's been outlawed too. They wouldn't even let me carry a sword."

It would be better to get a License to Kill. People wouldn't be so fast to call him an untalented hack then.

A license to kill would be cool. I think he was a pretty good Bond. Connery was definitely the best, then I think it's a tie between Moore and Brosnan. Leaning more toward Brosnan... the auburn hair it the only thing going against Moore. Now, I think we can all agree that Timothy Dalton sucked balls.

Ok he must have been the worst Bond ever, he lacked the charisma and grace of a good Bond. And no Bond could ever beat the origional.

Timothy Dalton was the worst. Seriously... and yes, Connery is, and always will be, the best. He brought more creativity to the role.

Hands down--my favorite Bond...(Sean Connery is a better actor, I know, I know!) But Roger Moore in my mind will always be James Bond. Maybe it is the nostalgia from my childhood. Moore was the Bond I grew up with in the 70's and 80's. You just gotta love "The Spy Who Loved Me"!!!! How generous of him to give up his time for some of the good causes of the world. Go Roger! I mean, Sir Roger!

When asked about his Timothy Dalton's performance as Bond, Moore states he has never seen any of the Bond movies after his. He said the reason is because he is no liar and he would have to be honest about the performance he witnessed and didn't want to be put in that position. I guess enough bad press and lost sales gave him a good indication of how terrible he was. But always the gentleman, he did say that he knows Dalton personally and always found him to be a nice person and good actor. hee hee hee

Moore was great. Any ideas of who may be in after Brosnan?

Once, a few friends and I discussed this topic in detail once.

We narrowed it down to these three final contestants. I pray to God that someone else will come along.

Vin Diesel (because he does everything)
    Paul Walker (same reason)
Heath Ledger (he has the accent)

Just try to imagine Diesel doing a British Accent. That would be GREAT!

i think it'd be funny to see:
    a) Leonardo Dicaprio
    b) Macaulay Culkin
    or
    c) the lead singer of Twisted Sister.

what about Ozzy? he has the accent doesn't he?

Bond producers were trying to seduce Hugh Jackman to do Bond for the next movie. They were concerned that Pierce was on his way out. However, he just signed a deal to do 2 more.

Hugh Jackman? hmm...what do you think?

It's not his bag. I don't think he'd do good. At all.

You know what I think would be cool, is if Sean Connery were to come back. Mabey if he were to be either the new M (face it, Judy Dench is not that good, albeit better than I expected) or a villain. That would be cool, to see Connery back in Bond. Definitely not as Bond, though. Mabey he could be James' father that James had spent his whole life trying to impress but had failed miserably at and all he wanted to do was make his father, played by Connery, happy. Such a good idea, I wonder why it was never done before?

Bond and his dad work together to save the world. It would almost be like Austin Powers parodying it before it happened.

Indeed... And yeah, I was just being sarchastic. I knew that the idea was done before and everything, but this time Bond would be parodying Ausin Powers, rather than the other way around. It would open up a whole new market for them.

I was told that Vin Diesel is gay, so i don't think he would be a very good bond.

Remember I was told this and I don't know for sure

I don't think he's gay. He's undoubtedly a gay icon, like Brad Pitt. Brad isn't gay. He is the man though. Anyway, are you sure someone didn't just say that sort of like how people are always like "oh, that's soooo gay" and such? I dunno.

He isn't gay, he's bi. And he's admitted to it publically.
