I think you hit the mark with that post. I actually noticed the endorsement some time ago, when I was going to PETA's site to look for some specific information, and a pop up ad for the new BK veggie burger popped up. This is, fundamentally, one of the problems I have with PETA, and the primary reason I never support their work whatsoever. They're full of good factual information about what's going on in the meat industry simply because they have the resources to put it together, but I think they're very misguided in their campaigns time and time again. Why on earth would they encourage people to give these giant fast food companies? I guess I missed the move from health conscious vegetarianism to just avoiding meat no matter what you're eating and where you eat it.

If they ever expect to actually make progress, they ought to try to find some cohesion with the left movement. Another instance of poor taste to me: putting together a catalog of clothing products/brands that do not feature animal products, and including Nike sneakers. What's worse, a slab of suede on the heel, or paying children doodley squat to work in dungeon factories? Why put up with either?

PETA is vegetarianism/veganism for the upper middle class who have no concept of how their lifestyle fits into the real world.

Unless the whole point of their protests was to get a veggie-burger on the menu, and we all know it didn't begin that way.
