Approximately 1000 protesters gathered in Seattle to protest Bush’s policies. [link] When things started to get a bit ugly the police came in with the riot gear, batons, pepper spray and rubber bullets. Boy Howdy! What I found interesting was that the white house was not prepared for such a confrontation: "we did not have any inkling" that such a protest would occur, White House press secretary Ari Fleischer told reporters.
