Wow, so I was reading this article about a subject that I am very into: killing terrorists.

I then read some of the comments, and found one in particular that was very impressive, so I wanted to share it with the idiots of Kung Foo.

The only problem is, that system, is not change, its the same system we've had all along... but anyway, the appearance of change, is what you get when you undulate from one party to the next, and back again.

So Obama took a stance against the Bush policies, and then implemented them himself. So Obama's Republican challenger in a few years is going to take a stance against "Obama's" policies, long forgetting they were implemented by Bush first, and, maybe he'll get elected, or maybe he won't. If he is elected, he'll do whatever he wants.

How long does it take for people to realize that election promises are meaningless?
I'm thinking its going to take thousands of years, since it hasn't taken ahold in the public consciousness yet.

There are 2 ways to view this story:

Liberal: Diplomacy has triumphed, look at the good will of these people as they engage at the bargaining table.

Conservative: A group that utilized terrorism as a political goal finally got the shit kicked out of it, it's about time, and now they realize they can either get less than they want or get eradicated. Of course they have chosen the former.
